Admission to TXST with an Aviation Science Major is competitive. We conduct a thorough evaluation of every applicant through a weighted assessment process. We consider academic performance, standardized test scores, and cognitive aptitude.

Step 1 How to Apply
August 1 - TXST Admission Application Opens
Students must apply for the Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (B.A.A.S.) degree program with an Aviation Science Major. Students who are accepted to TXST will be conditionally admitted to the Aviation Science Major pending completion of these admission steps, TXST assessment, and acceptance to one of our flight training partners.
Currently, this program does not support F1 student visas. Students who need an F1 visa to attend this program are not eligible at this time.

December 1 - TXST Priority Deadline
Students must be conditionally admitted to TXST in the B.A.A.S. degree program with an Aviation Science Major.
Step 2 Information Sessions
December 15 - Online Session
Students conditionally admitted to the B.A.A.S. degree program with an Aviation Science Major by the priority deadline will receive an email with session details.

Step 3 Required Documents
Students conditionally admitted to the B.A.A.S. degree program with an Aviation Science Major must complete the following:
1. First Class Airman Medical Certificate for Professional Intent
Students must obtain this medical certificate by February 1. TXST flight training partners require the original certificate.
2. Flight Aptitude Test
Students must take this test by February 1 but only after conditional admission to the Aviation Science Major. Test results are immediately available to students and automatically submitted to TXST.

3. Valid Driver's License
TXST flight training partners will require students' driver's license.
4. ACT/SAT Scores
Students must submit ACT/SAT scores directly to TXST Admissions by February 1 through their student portal.

Step 5 Acceptance Notifications
March 1 - Acceptance and Alternate Notification Process
TXST will email students who are conditionally admitted to the B.A.A.S. degree program with an Aviation Science Major to notify them of acceptance or alternate status.
Acceptance and Agreement Notices
- Flight training partner
- Semester flight training begins (Fall or Spring)
- Students must read, sign, and return the Agreement by April 1
- TXST moves some students from alternate status to acceptance between May 1 and July 1

Students may access Navigate TXST to see their to-do lists, communicate with advising centers, make appointments, design their course schedule, ask questions, and monitor their academic progress.
