MOVING COURSE FOR FINAID/VA BENEFITS

• When registering for courses, they may auto populate to the 'Open Electives' portion of your Degree report.
• Courses in 'Open Electives' do not count towards your BAAS degree modules; therefore, you do not receive Financial Aid or VA benefits for those courses.
• This form submission will notify the OWLS Department to review the course and apply it to the appropriate BAAS module, which will then allow Financial Aid to pay for the course.

COURSE OVERRIDE- DEPT. APPROVAL/ CLOSED CLASS OVERRIDE

• If you need an 'Departmental Approval' override, for the following courses: OCED 3350 & OCED 4350 & OCED 4111 (PLA) or Graduate Courses
• Closed Class overrides are handled by the department and not faculty. 
• The OWLS Department only handles overrides for CTE or OCED courses.
• Overrides for Capstone (OCED 4360 & 4361) are handled by the Applied Arts Advising Center.
• Graduate CTE/OCED courses (OCED 5300, OCED 5301, OCED 5302, & CTE 5303)

COURSE REVIEW FOR APPROVAL

• If you would like a course to be applied to your module that is not designated on an approved course sheet, please provide justification on how it relates to your module theme and overall career goals. 
• Core courses are handled by the Applied Arts Advising Center. The OWLS Department has no say in core curriculum course offerings or appropriateness of transfer courses for core curriculum purposes.
