Who can I talk to about my degree?

OWLS students have the opportunity to access faculty support and mentorship through designated Program Coordinators. They are available to meet with students to talk about their next steps and career goals both in person or online. 

For assistance with general registration and degree requirements, please call the Applied Arts Advising Center at 512-245-1490.

Before meeting with an Academic Advisor or Program Coordinator, please review the following:

  • Visit the BAAS Degree Outline for information & resources.
  • You are encouraged to reach out to an academic advisor at any stage in your application process to Texas State; however, please be aware that before you send your official transcripts to the University, the advisors are unable to provide exact information regarding how your credits transfer to a BAAS degree. 
  • Transfer credits are assessed by Admissions first at Texas State, then advisors can give information on which courses may or may not be able to be used.
  • Advising Centers do NOT accept walk-in appointments, and may require long waiting periods.
  • If you attend courses at the Round Rock Campus, you must meet with their campus advisor.
  • Program Coordinators are NOT an academic advisors, they offer student mentorship and program planning assistance.
  • Refer to the Registration Requests for OWLS course registration info.
