Improving our methods

The OWLS Advisory Council provides their input and feedback on the policies and procedures in departmental recruitment opportunities, curriculum development, identifying workforce skills, meeting the needs of veterans, and on how to serve the working adult population. They will have the opportunity to interact with current students, alumni, business representatives, and faculty.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Annual membership (Renewal in September)
  • Advise on departmental priorities, recruitment, and proposed initiatives
  • Identify emerging needs or opportunities affecting students
  • Support department events and participate in select meetings
  • Promote department visibility within their networks
  • Foster collaboration and resource sharing between academic and external stakeholders
  • Model respectful, workforce-driven leadership in advisory discussions and projects
